How to Set Webull Stop Loss

Webull stop loss is a type of order that investors or traders use to limit their potential losses in the stock market. It works by automatically selling a security when its price reaches a certain level, known as the stop price.

It is an order placed with a broker to buy or sell a specific stock once the stock reaches a certain price. This helps traders avoid larger losses if the price of the security continues to drop.

Order placement on Webull trading platforms is straightforward, but the order ticket has some essential features investors must know about. Among them are stop loss order that help protect your account from price swings against your positions.

 

How to Place a Webull Stop Loss Order on your Desktop

  • Log into your Webull account and navigate to the “Trade tab”.
  • Select the security you want to trade.
  • Click “Advanced Order” and then choose “Stop Loss Order”.
  • Enter the store price which is the price at which you want the security to be sold.
  • Select the duration of the order, which can be “Day” or “GTC”.
  • Review the order details and click “Submit Order” to place the Stop Loss Order.

 

To create a stop loss order for an open position, right-click the position within the open positions list or the chart for the stock or ETF you want to create a closing order for and select “Create Closing Order.”

 

How to Place a Webull Stop Loss on Your Mobile App

The process here is also similar with that on the desktop.

  • Open the Webull mobile app and log in to your account.
  • Tap “Trade” at the bottom of the screen and select the security you want to trade.
  • Tap “Advanced Order” and then select “Stop Loss Order”.
  • Enter the stop price, which is the price at which you want the security to be sold.
  • Select the duration of the order, which can be “Day” or “GTC”.
  • Review the order details and tap “Submit Order” to place the stop loss order.
